Please tell us the year established and the history of 1&1 Internet?
1&1 was founded as a reseller of technology products, including an early online service, in 1988 by Ralph Dommermuth (now CEO of United Internet, the public parent company of 1&1, and CMO of 1&1). Today 1&1 maintains more than 7 million contracts with both consumer and business users and has registered some 10 million domain names. It operates 5 highly-secure data centers housing 55,000 servers that process over 5 billion monthly emails.
Known for its comprehensive and affordable Internet products, 1&1’s unique business model positions it as a one-stop Internet shop. From domain registration to web hosting, site creation, technical support and cutting edge technology, 1&1 offers users every available resource to easily and affordably create and maintain an optimal web presence.
1&1 introduced its distinctive approach to the U.S. in September of 2003 with an innovative and aggressive promotion that offered three years of web hosting for free. Since the January 2004 launch of its complete product line in the U.S., 1&1 has registered more than 650,000 users; already making it one of the country’s top 5 web hosts. What do you offer your customers that are unique to your company?

What is your name and position with Future Hosting?

Please tell us the year established and brief history of Future Hosting?
Future Hosting was launched in 2001, providing shared hosting with both Plesk and cPanel accounts. Several years later we embraced Virtualization and began offering Virtual Private Servers, targeting larger businesses with more specialized needs. Today we continue to support our shared and reseller base of customers, but we have made Virtual Private Servers and Dedicated Servers the center of our businesses. We recently introduced two flagship services (Future Protect™ and Server Doctor™) that have been tremendously integral to our sustained growth.
What do you offer your customers that are unique to your company?
As I mentioned, we introduced two key services which have in every respect set us apart from our competitors and allowed us to reach out to a wider customer base. We now offer Server Doctor™, which automates server management and enables us to leverage our existing technical support team to reach our even farther. Server Doctor™ provides weekly health check scans on Virtual Private Servers and alerts our clients to any potential problems, from disk space usage to security alerts.
We also offer Future Protect™ an innovative backup service that introduced incremental backups of all Virtual Private Servers, powered by R1Soft’s Continuous Data Protection technology. Backup restore points are created every 2 hours, which is an unprecedented level of protection that has been an enormous asset. We have already expanded the program and we now include live backup for MySQL databases, which offers granular restoration of even the smallest amount of data.
What is the most challenging aspect to offering Virtual Private Servers (VPS)?

Please tell us the year established and brief history of Server4you?
SERVER4YOU INC, was founded in May 2003, but we've been in the web hosting industry in Europe for more than a decade.
