What is your name and position with JaguarPC?
I am Nick Rose the Sales & Marketing Director
 
Please tell us the year established and brief history of JaguarPC?
JaguarPC was established in 1998 by Greg Landis. While its corporate structure has changed to adapt to the growing business size the ideology and ownership remains consistent with its founding principles. Over the years JaguarPC grew from a 2 server operation to a massive operation with thousands of servers while almost doubling its client base year after year. Today JaguarPC is among the most well respected and well known web hosting providers in the world. Our expanding offices, in various cities such as Houston, Atlanta, and Las Vegas have been a key ingredient to our success. Houston is among one of the fastest growing IT industries which provides a great deal of diversity for recruitment.
JaguarPC today now provides web services to hundreds of thousands of businesses, private parties, and governments. Many of the clients served by us today are starting just as we did in 1998. Our experience and well reputation speak for themselves and shine in everything we do.
 
What do you offer your customers that are unique to your company?
We offer our customers the ability to start from a minimal footprint and grow into anything; we have the capacity to support anything from a blog site to the next YouTube. Whether it’s a Single dedicated server or a Server cluster we can do it for you. We offer a personalized touch, with 0 outsourced employees’ we can focus more on quality than most of the competitors in the market. We stand behind our products with a 30 day refund policy, and to boot we have some of the best specials in the industry. Mixing a quality product into a budget market, it’s a fragile concept but has proved highly both highly challenging and highly successful for us. We strive to meet each and every one of our customers requests in a timely manner.
 
What is the most challenging aspect to offering VPS hosting?
Keeping all of our clients happy while providing a low cost service is always a tough one, I would have to say that most challenging aspect is just the sheer volume that we deal in, while trying to offer a personalized service so that all of our customers feel at home and happy with our staff, and services.
 
What is it that makes JaguarPC a competitive company in the VPS market?
We constantly set the bar to new levels with lower pricing and larger packages, not to mention that very few other providers hardware can even compare to the types of machines we use. Dual Quad Core’s with 16gb Ram and Insane Raid 10 arrays.
 
What new features have JaguarPC added for its customers in the past year?
We recently rolled out a few new product lines, Endless Disk Space on our shared / SDX models, A new unmanaged VPS product line, We increased our backup seed periods on all accounts to offer an additional restore point to all of our customers, using our R1Soft backup software.
 
What would you say is JaguarPC #1 asset to its customer base?
Our main asset to our customers by far is our outstanding employee’s they come in early and work late without even being asked to just to assure that the customers requests are dealt with in a timely manner, when the clock says time to go home, Almost all of them will stay and finish what they are doing even if it takes them 2-3 hours!
 
Where do you see JaguarPC and the web hosting industry in three years?
JaguarPC in 3 years… We will be in the same position offering top of the line services, offering the best hardware and best performance in the industry.
 
How many customers do you currently have?
We currently have over 10,000 customers
 
Who is your reseller or co-location provider?
We are currently Located in Cyrus One (Houston) and AtlantaNap (Atlanta)
 
What kind of back up power do they provide?
8 backup generators (n+1+1), 1 is a redundant failover. 2 UPS... 2,000 KVA, parallel redundant,
 
Do they have multiple backbone connections?
Yes currently we are utilizing 6 gigE connections out of total 8 backbones, 10 gig via fiber
 
What connections do they have?
Telia, Sprint, Savvis, Qwest, PCCWBTN, and Level 3
 
Do you offer 24/7 support?
Yes in fact we do, we have staff in office every single moment of every single day, with at least 1 senior tech on duty.
 
Do you have technicians present 24/7 or 9-5 M-F?
24/7 We have staff in house 24/7 for support issues, we also carry an onsite staff for our remote Datacenter Locations
 
What is your average turn-around time on a support ticket?
15-20 minutes on average
 
Do you charge your clients for support? If so, please explain.
We offer free support with the acceptation of dedicated servers, those require a management package to be purchased starting at only $27/mo
