What is your name and position with INetU?

What is the history of INetU?
INetU has been providing managed hosting services since we started business, though back then it was not known as managed hosting. We were founded in 1996 by Dev Chanchani. Dev had previously co-founded Internet Unlimited and one other Internet-based business, so he brought a wealth of knowledge to the table even from the beginning. The company has always been committed to providing high quality service since we started, and we found our niche in managed dedicated servers. We offer everything from single Windows 2000/2003, Redhat Linux and FreeBSD servers to load balanced Web servers and clustered SQL database servers to fully redundant hosting configurations.
What is it that makes INetU a competitive company in the hosting industry?
INetU is focused on providing excellent managed dedicated servers and services (firewalls, backups, advanced monitoring) related to them for our clients. Our staff consists of experienced hosting experts and we have a depth of knowledge that allows us to provide service not only for your standard server installation, but also customized installations and complex hosting configurations like load balancing or database server clusters.

We offer more free technical support and services than most other hosts (outlined on this Web page: www.inetu.net/about/serious_support.php) and our prices are competitive for the level of service that we provide. If you are looking for a hosting company that can take care of your servers so that you do not have to worry about them, INetU is a perfect choice. If you have servers that are critical to your business and you need a host that does more than just bare bones service at cut-rate prices, that’s where INetU comes in. Our tag line of “more than just servers: excellent service” really rings true.
How has INetU done in light of the recent economic conditions?
INetU is profitable and cash-flow positive, so while the economy in general is seeing hard times, we are doing well. Basically this is because we always were relatively conservative with our expenses and did not over expand while many companies were building data centers all over the place. We’ve always grown according to our revenues. We feel that our financial stability is one of the strong points of our company and that it also provides a benefit to our clients. Our customers know that we will not be subject to the negative things that are associated with financially unstable companies that end up impacting their customers.
Where do you see INetU and the web hosting industry in ten years?
INetU will continue to provide excellent service to our clients and offer the technologies that make the Internet-based aspects of their businesses successful.
How many customers do you currently host?
Around 1000.
Who are some of your famous clients?
Companies with Web sites or servers hosted on our network include the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Hanes, the “Got Milk?” advertising campaign, Writing.com and TeenCentral.net among others. We have wonderful clients, including those that are well known and those that are not as well known.
Do you offer 24/7 support?
What is your average turn-around time on a support ticket?
We are in touch within 15 minutes and working on an issue, but resolution really depends on the complexity of the issue itself.
