MONROE, La. – CenturyLink, Inc. today announced the addition of Kindra Martone as global vice president of colocation sales. Martone leads the colocation sales team and is responsible for the vision and strategy of CenturyLink’s global data center colocation initiatives, as the company continues to expand its international hosting presence to address the data center needs of organizations in Asia, Europe and North America.

Martone brings more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry and has served in a range of executive and sales leadership roles for organizations from early stage start-ups to publicly-traded, global enterprises.

The addition of Martone comes as CenturyLink continues its 2014 global data center expansions, including the recent opening of a second data center in the Toronto market. The growth is in direct response to ongoing demand for colocation, hybrid IT and cloud services in strategic markets.

“Kindra’s drive, passion and leadership enhance CenturyLink’s ability to meet the data center needs of organizations around the world,” said David Meredith, senior vice president and global general manager, CenturyLink Technology Solutions. “CenturyLink is committed to helping our customers succeed through the consistent delivery of advanced IT, hosting and network services throughout Asia, Europe and North America.”

Martone joins CenturyLink from IO Data Centers, where she served in a number of executive positions, including senior vice president of global sales and marketing. During her tenure at IO, Martone led the company’s data center expansions to over 2 million square feet of data center space in multiple markets, including Edison, N.J., Singapore and London. She also developed and implemented international distribution channels in North America, Europe and Asia. Before IO, Martone served in sales and operations management roles at Cisco Systems.

“I’m honored to support CenturyLink’s commitment to current and future customers, as we continue to invest in our industry-leading, globally available IT solutions,” Martone said. “The company’s data centers provide the flexibility and 100 percent uptime that today’s enterprises have come to expect. Plus, CenturyLink continues to advance its breadth of capabilities and offerings – we have a number of Uptime Institute Tier III-certified facilities and offer end-to-end IT solutions fully capable of handling a range of mission-critical business challenges. It’s exciting to work alongside innovative colleagues who are committed to our customers’ ongoing success.”
