DiscountASP.NET, a Windows shared hosting provider, announces updating their entire Windows hosting platform to .NET framework 4.5.2. Supporting the latest Microsoft web stack, ASP.NET 4.5.2 hosting is now available to all DiscountASP.NET customers.

“Because of possible backward compatibility issues with in-place framework updates, in the past we left our Windows 2008 platform at .NET 4.0 so that we could move customers should they have issues with updates on our Windows 2012 hosting servers.” said Takeshi Eto, VP Marketing and Business Development at DiscountASP.NET. “However, Microsoft has announced that .NET 4.0 through .NET 4.5.1 will end-of-life in January 2016, so we wanted to get our entire platform up to date.”

Some of the enhancements of ASP.NET 4.5.2 include better ability to schedule async work items, debugging improvements, and better control over http headers. .NET Framework 4.5.2 is an in-place update to .NET 4.5.1, NET 4.5 and .NET 4.0.
