We have established HostSailor Early 2014, and we’ve been in business for a year now, I have spent over 15 years in the industry and I have a very well and knowledgeable background running hosting companies and from there the idea came up to start a new business where our main aim was to provide budget VPS services yet not sacrifice the performance, stability, support and management of the service, we are proud to own all our hardware which are located in Amsterdam, we plan to expand this year onward to more locations.

Running multi locations worldwide, and offering a budget service starting from cloud hosting up to enterprise dedicated servers, targeting all levels of customers from personal to high end business around the globe. There is a lot of potential in the hosting market, and it will continue to grow and expand as the user needs and demands continue to expand too.

Do you own your own datacenter?
No, but we own all the hardware, routers, switches and IP space.

Where are they located?
Amsterdam and Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

What kind of backup power do you have?
The datacenter has a UPS system in place as well as generators which can run on the long term, also have contracts with the larger gas company’s in Holland so they can refuel the generators before they run dry in case of longer outages.

Do you have multiple backbone connections?
We have a darkfiber ring running in Amsterdam and Capelle which comes into the DC from 2 different sides of the building, we also have multiple redundant fiber paths going from our routers to the other DC’s ( Telecity 2, Globalswitch, Telecity 5 ) which are going in 2 directions of the ring for redundancy so if one side of the ring would collapse we can still send traffic over the other part of the ring.
