Reston, Virginia – FortaCloud ™ Hosting announced today it will be offering Free VPS Cloud Servers — a multi-tenant global, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, designed specifically for customers with rapidly growing infrastructure footprints who need the agility and elasticity offered by the cloud along with the simplicity, performance and stability of traditional IT environments.

“The rising complexity of the multi-tenant cloud affects applications in a variety of ways,” said Prieur J. Leary III, president of FortaCloud. “Traditional Virtualization and sharing a physical machine are fantastic tools for specific workloads, at certain scale; however, we’ve learned that the one-size-fits-all approach to multi-tenancy just doesn’t work once you become successful. FortaCloud was created to simplify scaling for customers who need to stay fast and lean while maintaining laser-sharp focus on building out their product.”

Noisy neighbors in traditional multi-tenant environments can degrade network latency, disk I/O and compute processing power, which results in unpredictable application performance. FortaCloud’s new offering taps its expertise in delivering scalable solutions that eliminate the growing pains typically associated with the current industry model.

“What’s exciting about FortaCloud is that you get all the benefits of cloud infrastructures, such as full automation and writing software to manage your servers, but without any of the compromises on performance or reliability,” said Carlos Aguirre, CEO of Infinifgy. “Running CoreOS on FortaCloud, you get a host operating system that is optimized for efficiency and ready to run your container-based applications from first boot.”

Free VPS Cloud Servers are built with Carrier Grade hardware, and powered by CloudStack. The servers come in three different sets of specifications, each custom designed to accommodate heavy duty workloads associated with large web scale applications.

Customers also rely on our best-of-breed support to manage the complexity of running their infrastructure on their behalf. By default, every Free VPS Cloud Server customer has access to FortaCloud specialists to optimize their application architecture, assist with code debugging, and monitor their infrastructure.

“We’ve all been trained to think of the cloud as generic virtual machines on demand. Traditional VMs have had their decade. The future ‘Cloud’ will be built on next generation infrastructure, such as FortaCloud,” said Carlos Aguirre, CEO of Infinifgy, a FortaCloud customer in the early access program. “We believe FortaCloud is the future of Infrastructure-as-a-Service. It’s simply more efficient”.

FortaCloud is currently available as a soft-launch under limited availability and expected to enter general availability this September. To learn more, please visit
