“We wanted to do something extra to celebrate Earth Day this year,” says Paul Filice, General Manager & VP Information Technology, Hostpapa Inc. “We constantly strive to offer our customers the best in reliable web hosting and customer service; this includes conducting our operations with the planet in mind. This year, we’re giving our customers an easy way to plant a tree and get in the Earth Day spirit.”

HostPapa is proud to support Love Trees and its international efforts in environmental stewardship and education. Since 2006, Love Trees has given thousands of children in Africa, North America and Haiti a tree of their own to plant and the skills to change the world.

HostPapa’s Earth Day promotion is straightforward: everyone – not just HostPapa customers! – is encouraged to visit the company’s Facebook page ( and click “Like.” For every “Like” received, HostPapa will donate a tree – up to 10,000 trees. While you’re there, enter for a chance to win a valuable gift card for an eco-friendly company. All participants are also encouraged to join our Facebook discussion and submit an eco-tip or personal story of their environmental action.

HostPapa encourages all Facebook page visitors to spread the word and “share” this Earth Day promotion – the faster the word spreads, the more trees that will be planted!

“If children are going to make a lifelong commitment to protect the environment for themselves and future generations, they first need time to explore the wonders of nature,” said Andrea Koehle Jones, executive director of Love Trees. She says one of the best ways to learn about the environment is to plant, care for and watch a seedling grow into a magnificent tree.

“Love Trees is pleased to partner with HostPapa. We share an active interest and commitment to improving the environment. This is a terrific opportunity to give children around the world GREEN POWER – the power to make the world a better place.”
