InfoRelay Revises Service Level Agreement to 100% Uptime for Critical Infrastructure Systems
Ashburn, Virginia – National data center and cloud hosting provider InfoRelay Online Systems improves upon its Service Level Agreement to guarantee 100% Critical Infrastructure Uptime for data center collocation customers. The recent changes, effective May 5, 2014 ensure that customers hosting their servers and IT systems inside any of InfoRelay’s 15 data center locations will not suffer outages due to power failure or lacking cooling capacity. The recent uptime improvements represent a larger, ongoing project to bolster physical and network stability across InfoRelay’s national data center network.
Founded in 1995, InfoRelay provides highly-secure, enterprise IT solutions including colocation hosting, network bandwidth and managed services to small, medium and enterprise customers, with focus on the healthcare, technology and federal government sectors. Since inception, the firm has expanded its national presence dramatically. Continually increasing demand for data center hosting is driving InfoRelay’s infrastructure upgrades, including the latest Critical Infrastructure Uptime additions, according to InfoRelay management.
The new Critical Infrastructure Uptime guarantee outlaid by InfoRelay encompasses power and cooling system availability and promises 100% uptime (zero downtime). The company’s “Network Uptime Guarantee” remains 99.999%. To be eligible for the 100% Critical Infrastructure Guarantee, customers must subscribe to both primary and redundant power circuits in their colocation setup. Further, the customers must either have servers that utilize dual power supplies or a power distribution unit with an automatic load transfer switch. These parameters ensure that customers will always have access to power, even in case of a data center outage or any other circumstances. InfoRelay’s president Russ Weiss explains, “With a number of recent investments in infrastructure, we found that it made sense to increase our commitment to customers, as they’re the ones fueling our growth. The new critical infrastructure Service Level Agreement is backed by a number of redundant systems that ensure outages do not occur, including 24×7
onsite staff, state-of-the-art flywheel UPS systems (n+1 and 2n availability), diesel generator infrastructure, and fully-redundant, self-healing network connectivity. We are confident that new and current customers value the increased accountability on our part, as well as enjoy the ability to focus more on innovation and less on systems maintenance.”
