Herndon, VA – InfoRelay Online Systems, Inc., a national provider of managed IT infrastructure solutions, announced today that it has successfully completed the Statement on Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 examination. Performed by a third-party accounting firm, InfoRelay’s purpose in pursuing this audit was to certify that the company had designed control objectives to ensure the security and reliability of its network, data centers, and managed services.

SSAE No. 16, a standard established by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, replaced SAS70 (Statement on Auditing Standards 70) in June 2011. The SSAE16 standard is specifically designed around reporting on controls at a service organization.

“At InfoRelay, we serve a number of public and private sector clients that entrust us with managing and hosting their mission-critical IT systems. For the benefit of our customers, we wanted to ensure that we held ourselves to a higher standard. We know that we strictly enforce our internal controls and processes, however we wanted to demonstrate to our customers just how confident we are in that fact. This is why we successfully underwent a third-party SSAE-16 audit,” stated Russell Weiss, President of InfoRelay.

Many government agencies and enterprise clients, such as banks and healthcare providers, now require their data centers and managed service providers to be SSAE16 certified. While InfoRelay’s SSAE16 certification applies to its general operational practices and its data center in Herndon, VA, the company’s other national facilities already hold SSAE16 certifications.

This announcement comes on the heels of InfoRelay’s release of three new managed IT service packages under the “Epic Support” brand. These packages bundle management of clients’ IT systems with advanced server and network monitoring and security services, such as DDoS mitigation.
