NEW YORK – Webair, a high-touch, agile Cloud and fully managed infrastructure service provider, today announces that it has partnered with DE-CIX, the world’s leading Internet Exchange operator headquartered in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), to offer direct access to world-class peering services within its Long Island-based NY1 data center facility. As a result of this new partnership, NY1 customers can now easily access DE-CIX New York via Webair’s advanced interconnection fabric or secure physical cross-connects.

DE-CIX is the latest addition to NY1’s vast ecosystem of network services that customers can securely connect to within the facility via its physical Meet-Me Room (MMR) and virtual interconnection fabric. Customers can also access a multitude of transport, transit and public fabrics that are either built into the facility directly or via Webair’s MMR extensions to 60 Hudson St., 111 8th Ave. and 325 Hudson St. in New York. A Tier III-rated data center, NY1 is a carrier-neutral facility and features no monthly charge for cross-connects. The data center is also SAS SSAE 16 and HIPAA-certified, each critical for healthcare and financial services organizations to achieve strenuous compliance requirements.

Connection to DE-CIX New York is simple and efficient utilizing Webair’s flexible and scalable connectivity options available at speeds ranging from 100Mbps to 10Gbps. This new level of interconnectivity provides Webair customers with the opportunity to lower network traffic exchange costs, reduce latency and enhance IP performance and resilience by tapping into the DE-CIX network. DE-CIX operates the industry’s most robust and advanced peering platform, providing expanded interconnection opportunities to over 850 Internet Service Providers (ISPs). including broadband providers, content delivery networks, web hosts and incumbent operators from more than 60 countries.
